Arsenal are among the clubs looking to secure the services of Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan this summer.

Australia international spent the second half of last season on loan at the Emirates and made three Premier League appearances for the Gunners.

The 29-year-old joined the Seagulls from

Valencia

back in 2017 but his five-year stint on the South Coast looks likely to end this summer.

Ryan’s contract expires next year but there have been no suggestions

Brighton

are looking to extend their relationship with the Australian, who was dropped from the starting XI in December.

Highly-rated Spaniard

Robert Sanchez

has since taken the goalkeeping jersey and impressed for the remainder of the campaign.

Now the Gunners' boss

Mikel Arteta

is keen on bringing him back to the Emirates permanently.

That is according to Sky Sports, but the North London side will face competition for his signature.

They claim clubs from both Spain and France are also interested in signing Ryan.

Ryan has made 123 appearances for Brighton, keeping 27 clean sheets, since joining in 2017.

At the age of 29, Ryan is keen to be a number one and will weigh up his options before deciding on his next move.
