Aleksander Ceferin, UEFA’s president reminded Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona that the punishment is still in process. ‘Justice is sometimes slow, but it always comes.’
Given the legal actions taken in a court in Madrid, the proceedings of the punishments have been suspended by the disciplinary commission which meansJuventus
will take part in the 2021-22 Champions League.
However, they may still receive consequences due to staying committed to the European Super League.
I will just say that justice is sometimes slow, but it always comes,”
“I didn’t enter into the disciplinary case, but the way I see it, this is not a definitive spot. First we clarify the legal things and then we go on.
“Sometimes I get the feeling these three clubs are like children who skip school for a while. They are not invited to a birthday party and then try to get in with the police.”
Ex-UEFA president Michel Platini believes that creating another Super League is the clubs’ ‘right’.
“I am not surprised by anything in football,”
“His comment does not deserve a response.”
The creation of the ESL has become something personal, as Ceferin is Andrea Agnelli’s child’s godfather.
He said how furious he felt when Agnelli ‘lied to his face’ a few hours before it was launched.
When the UEFA president was quizzed whether he would shake Agnelli’s hand, he said:
“It is a personal question and I don’t want to get into it, but I think he knows.”
