Romelu Lukaku and Joao Mario's agent Federico Pastorello revealed the Belgian frontman will remain at Inter while Joao Mario is about to join Sporting CP on a permanent deal.
Pastorello met Inter directors at the club’s headquarters today.
I came here for Joao Mario, we are trying to close the deal with Sporting,"
the agent told reporters.
"There are a few more clubs interested in signing him, we'll see what happens in the next few days. We want to make the player happy. He'd like to stay there, there is optimism."
Pastorello stressed that Lukaku's plans have nothing to do with Conte's exit.
"Romelu is happy at Inter. He has a contract so there are no problems."
The Belgian striker joined Inter in an €80m deal in 2018. Joao Mario moved to Sporting CP on loan last summer, and he can make his move permanent for €8m.
