Man Utd defender has returned to training before Sunday’s Euro 2020 opener against Croatia.
Manchester United starHarry Maguire
has been forced to sit out since May 9 after he suffered an ankle injury during the Red Devil’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa.
There have been some speculations regarding Maguire’s health and whether he can achieve full recovery before the Euro 2020 starts.
In this regard, the 28-year-old defender was spotted in England’s training session on Thursday, along with Liverpool starJordan Henderson
, who was also an injury concern for the Three Lions.
England manager Gareth Southgate says he is happy with the impact the two players have had since joining the squad.
"We feel the possibility that they can play a part, and the fact they're such fantastic characters to have around the group,"
"Hendo's leadership and presence is already having an effect on other people, especially the younger ones in the group, but all of the others as well.
"Given we're able to pick 26, we felt the opportunity to have those two with us was straightforward."
England are set to start their Euro 2020 journey on Sunday in a clash against Croatia, and the question remains whether Maguire will be fit enough to star in the Three Lions opener at Wembley.
