Chelsea to compete with PSG over Hakimi

Wed 09 June 2021 | 12:33

A new rival has been found for Paris Saint-Germain and it has become difficult for the Parisians to transfer Hakimi.

Chelsea

have made a € 60 million bid for Achraf Hakimi to compete with

PSG

over the signing of Morrocan star.

Sky Italia have claimed that Inter Milan are more willing to sell Hakimi to Chelsea because the Italian club are interested in signing Emerson Palmieri and Andreas Christensen. Inter want to sign Palmieri on loan, but Chelsea want a permanent transfer.

However, Chelsea's offer is not in line with Inter's request for Hakimi. Inter are said to want € 80 million for the Moroccan midfielder.

Last season, Hakimi scored 7 goals and 10 assists in Serie A. Having spent two seasons on loan at Dortmund, he showed off his abilities and left Real last summer for £40m to join Inter. He has the ability to play in full-back and right midfielder, and can help his team in several positions in Tuchel's five-man Chelsea defense system.

It remains to be seen where the two rich clubs will compete and whether Chelsea can beat Paris Saint-Germain to sign the Moroccan star.
