Sources report that Tottenham players were afraid of working with Antonio Conte.
Different reports are suggesting thatTottenham Hotspur
players and chairman Daniel Levy are afraid of hiring
because of his methods and style of thinking.
Antonio Conte helped his side to win the Serie A title, but he immediately decided to leave the club because of financial problems at the club.
Tottenham chairman thinks that Conte’s demands may damage the club financially considering the world’s current economic climate.
Players, on the other hand, seem to be afraid of his training methods which are too extreme, according to the reports.
“Daniel felt his budgetary demands were not only unrealistic but also potentially damaging to our future,”
a senior Spurs source told The Sun newspaper
“Daniel wants us to be successful more than anyone but not at the expense of the club itself.
“He knows any new manager is going to need money to improve the squad and he is certain to provide them with that.
“But there has to be a balance and it cannot leave the club in a perilous situation.”
Inter’s president has also talked about Conte insisting that despite being a good coach, Conte’s demands are only about winning titles and that he doesn’t care about the financial situation of the club.
“What was not fundamental for him, was for the club. And vice versa. Conte is a top coach, but as a President, I have to think of the solidity of this club.”
