Real Madrid’s Ancelotti eyes Napoli’s Lozano

Mon 07 June 2021 | 13:06

Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti is keen on acquiring the Napoli forward’s services in the summer transfer window.

Zinedine Zidane

departed

Real Madrid

after failing to deliver any silverware last season and

Carlo Ancelotti

was appointed as the club manager before the 2021-22 season starts.

The ex-Napoli manager is on the lookout for recruitments this summer and according to

Tuttosport

, he is interested in getting

Hirving Lozano

’s signature.

Real Madrid are going to make an offer for the 25-year-old and convince Napoli to cash in on the Mexican.

Lozano, who met the back of the net 11 times in 32 Serie A matches last season, is committed to the Partenopei until 2024, but Ancelotti was the one to have brought him in the club in 2019.

The reports suggest that Aurelio De Laurentiis would be open to offers between €50m and €60m for the Mexico international.

But he is hoping to retain Lozano’s services, as he plans to give Luciano Spalletti a strong squad to make their way back to the Champions League.

Napoli ended the Serie A season sitting fifth on the table, which saw them miss out on the competition because of a draw with Hellas Verona on the last day of the Championship.
