As per sources in Paris and Diario AS, Paris Saint-Germain is considering hiring a new director of sports to persuade Kylian Mbappe to stay at the club.
Following allegations of troubles in his relationship with Mauricio Pochettino, Leonardo has become a rather divisive figure;
is reported to be the favored candidate.
Real Madrid, who have been linked with Mbappe, would be interested in such a trade. Campos was instrumental in Lille's title-winning campaign last season, as well as Monaco's in 2017. He also distinguishes pushing Mbappe to sign his first professional deal while the striker was at Monaco; they're close.
Campos is thought to be close to joining
, but PSG has recently entered the race as well.
The Ligue 1 giants are dissatisfied with Leonardo's performance as sporting director over the previous year and a half. Thomas Tuchel's achievements at Chelsea since leaving PSG suggests he wasn't the issue in Paris, and he still has to persuade Mbappe to extend his contract in the French capital, his current deal ends next summer, and the Parisians must decide to either sell him or let him depart as a free agent next window.
