The Brazilian has indicated that he would like to continue at Stadio Olimpico, although he is unaware of Man Utd's plans for him.
Andreas Pereira, a Manchester United loanee who admits he lacks the "ideal physique" forPremier League
football, wants to extend his time at Lazio.
After sliding down the pecking order at Old Trafford under
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
, Pereira went on a season-long loan to Lazio in October.
The 25-year-old made an impact at Stadio Olimpico in 2020-21 and wants to stay inSerie A
, but he understands that United will make the final choice in his career.
Quizzed where he will be playing next season, Pereira toldTuttomercatoweb
"Premier League, Serie A, and La Liga? They are super leagues.
"The English one is very physical, and as you can see, I don't have the ideal physique! Joking aside, I loved playing in England; Spanish football is more my style of play.
"Future? I would like to stay and play for Lazio again, but this depends on the discussion with United and what they will want to do with me.
"I have a contract with the club; it's like a second home for me. I have been there since I was 16; I always talk to the people who work for the club."
Last season, Pereira played in 33 games for Lazio in all tournaments, including 26 in Serie A, as the team finished sixth.
The Brazilian only scored once for the Rome-based club, in a dramatic 4-3 triumph over Torino, but he did set up four more goals for his teammates.
Pereira has spent his whole career at Manchester United, breaking into the first squad as a youngster in 2014.
However, the 25-year-old playmaker has struggled to establish himself as a regular in the lineup at Old Trafford, making just 75 outings so far, and the battle for midfield spots in Solskjaer's squad is now fiercer than ever.
Pereira's contract with the Red Devils has two years remaining on it, but it has been suggested that they may sell the midfielder if they receive a reasonable offer.
