Szczesny rejects Juventus exit talks

Sun 06 June 2021 | 19:46

Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has revealed he has not spoken to Juventus or any other club as there is nothing to discuss about a departure.

Roma

have been linked with a surprise move for former goalkeeper

Wojciech Szczesny

, although he is under contract until the summer of 2024.

The Polish goalkeeper had previously spent two seasons in Rome (between 2015 and 2017) on loan from

Arsenal

, before completing his transfer to Turin.

Although he remains a reliable option in the goal,

Juventus

are still interested in the services of

Gianluigi Donnarumma

, who recently saw his contract with

Milan

expire at the end of the campaign.

But before approaching the Italian shot-stopper, the Old Lady would need to sell Szczesny first.

“I know that this has been in the media for a while, so I will try to answer this question once and for all,”

said Szczesny during a press conference while on international duty ahead of Euro 2020

.

“I have not spoken to Juventus or any other club, because there is nothing to discuss about a departure.

“I am not responsible for Juventus transfer strategy.”
