Inter have officially confirmed that former Lazio boss is set to replace Antonio Conte as the new Nerazzurri manager.

Antonio Conte left

Inter

after leading the Nerazzurri to Serie A championship and getting their hands on the Scudetto for the first time since 2010.

After Conte’s departure, Inter went into negotiations with

Lazio

boss

Simone Inzaghi

to take over at the club, and now, Inter have officially confirmed in a short statement that Inzaghi has joined the Nerazzurri on a two-year contract.

The statement reads:

"FC Internazionale Milano would like to welcome Simone Inzaghi to the Club, as our new First Team Coach: the Italian manager has signed a two-year deal with the Nerazzurri."

Inzaghi experienced a five-year spell as manager and a decade as a player with Lazio, during which he managed to win two Supercoppe Italiane and one Coppa Italia with the Biancocelesti.
