The Australian manager insists he is focused on his job at Yokohama F Marinos despite being in advanced talks with the Scottish club.

Celtic

are reportedly interested in signing

Ange Postecoglou

as

Neil Lennon

’s successor after their negotiations with

Bournemouth

boss

Eddie Howe

fell through. The club are keen to finalize the deal in the coming days, but the former Socceroos boss says he is not interested in discussing his future.

"Those who know me know my focus is on what's in front of me,"

the 55-year-old said after his side won 2-1 against

Shimizu S-Pulse

in the J League.

"I've understood there's some speculation around the future, but I've stopped thinking about the what-ifs in the world a long time ago.

"My focus the last couple of days has been on making sure we play well."

The next Celtic manager will be tasked to regain the club’s dominance in the Scottish Premiership. The Hoops’ nine-year reign in the competition was ended by

Steven Gerrard

’s

Rangers
