Kai Havertz drops F-bomb about his price tag after UCL glory

Sun 30 May 2021 | 5:04

Chelsea striker Kai Havertz has said he does not give a f**k about being the most expensive player in the club’s history after he fired the Blues to Champions League glory in Porto.

Havertz

and

Mason Mount

combined to score the winning goal as the Blues secured their second Champions League title.

The 21-year-old has received plenty of criticism this season for not living up to his price tag and, before Sunday’s match against

Manchester City

in Porto, had failed to score in the Champions League.

Asked about the pressure on him as the most expensive Chelsea player on

BT Sport

 following the game, Haverz replied:

"I don't give a f*ck, we won the Champions League!"

The 21-year-old continued: "I don't know what to say. I really don't know what to say. I waited a long time.

"Now I want to thank my family, my parents, my grandmother and my girlfriend. I don't know what to say.

"I've waited 15 years for this moment and now it's here."

Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta added

: "[Havertz] was so calm. Not only that. He runs like crazy! That's why he deserves this.

"I came here in 2012 after that Champions League win. I wanted to repeat that Champions League success. It is amazing. My family are here. It is a special, special day."
