Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta’s red card against Aston Villa on the final day of the Premier League has been overturned following a successful appeal.

during a challenge and was set to be suspended for three games at the start of the next season.
However, the 31-year-old defender will no longer serve a three-match ban as his red card was overturned following a successful claim of wrongful dismissal.
The Blues face Premier League championsManchester City
in the Champions League final on Saturday.
Azpilicueta can go into the Champions League final against Manchester City on Saturday without the suspension hanging over him.
The Spaniard has been instrumental in Chelsea securing a Champions League qualification for the next season.
