Valencia set to appoint Jose Bordalas as their new manager

Tue 25 May 2021 | 17:21

The Getafe manager will be Valencia’s new coach with a two-year contract.

Valencia

are looking for a replacement for Javi Gracia, who was dismissed last month, and are on the verge of putting pen to paper with

Jose Bordalas

.

Although his contract at

Getafe

is due to expire in 2022, Los Azulones could allow his departure.

Peter Lim

, the Valencia owner, agreed with the deal and decisions are being made this week.

Marca

reported earlier that chairman Angel Torres and Bordalas’s relationship got fractured and the 57-year-old tactician would be permitted to end his contract sooner than 2022.

Bordalas was about to depart the club last summer but no offers were made, forcing him to endure a disappointing season, finishing 15th on the table with 38 points.
