Mat Ryan thanks the Gunners for his loan spell at his favorite team.
, who was aGunners
fan in his childhood, has enjoyed his loan spell at the club, and now that his stay at Emirates stadium is over, he thanks the club and the fans and shows his interest in making the contract a permanent one.
The 29-year-old knows that he isn’t going to be Brighton’s first choice, and his contract with them expires in 2022, so a permanent move to Arsenal doesn’t seem like a bad idea.
Ryan wrote on Twitter, saying:
"Have had a blast with this last chapter experiencing all that’s been involved in representing Arsenal. Have learnt so much and enjoyed every minute of it.
"To the many great people around the club whom I’ve had the pleasure of associating with, thank you for making me feel welcome and making the transition into the family a very easy one, I look forward to continuing the relationships well into the future. Excited for what the future will bring."
Mikel Arteta brought Ryan in the winter transfer window to fill the team’s need for an experienced goalkeeper, and Bernd Leno is the Gunners' first choice, but with his exit talks, there may be a spot for Ryan, who has made his interest in the club clear.
