Although the midfielder suffered a late injury in Leeds' final Premier League game of the season against West Brom, the club is optimistic that Kalvin Phillips should be fit for the start of the Euros campaign next month.
England manager Gareth Southgate will name his 26-man squad on Tuesday as Kalvin Phillips’ can be the latest addition to the long list of injured midfielders who might miss the upcoming Euros.
However, although Leeds said on Monday that Phillips’ injury is currently being treated conservatively, but added Phillips should be fit for the start of the Euros campaign next month.
The 25-year-old has started the last three games of England’s World Cup qualifiers and has been among the Premier League stars this season.
In addition to Phillips, Southgate is looking to include the Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, who made his injury return in the Reds’ Premier League showdown against Crystal Palace, in his squad for Euro 2020.
