Schalke’s striker, who has been linked with a move to Spurs, Barcelona, and Valencia, has been called up to Gregg Berhalter's squad for the first time.
The American striker has contributed 6 goals and 1 assist in his 21 Bundesliga appearances for Schalke and is likely to make his international debut for USMNT in their upcoming Nations League Final Four ties alongside Bayern’s 17-year-old prodigy, Justin Che.
Meanwhile, Christian Pulisic and Zack Steffen will be USMNT’s major absentees due to their participation in the upcoming Champions League final between Manchester City and Chelsea.
