Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has been recalled by Didier Deschamps to the France squad for the upcoming European Championship.
According to L'Equipe,
in France’s 26-man squad for the first time since 2015 following his alleged role in the sex-tape blackmail of former France team-mate
striker has consistently denied the allegations made against him, but that was seemingly not enough to see him return to the Les Bleus squad, for whom he scored 27 goals in 81 appearances before being exiled.
However, Deschamps has had a change of heart and decided to hand Benzema a recall to international duty after fantastic form at Santiago Bernabeu over the past few years.
