Julian Draxler signs new deal with PSG until 2024

Germany midfielder Julian Draxler has signed a new contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain until 2024, the French club announced on Monday.

The 27-year-old joined




in 2017 and was approaching the final month of his deal before reaching an agreement over a new three-year deal.

The German midfielder had been set to leave the club on a free transfer this summer after he failed to impress under

Thomas Tuchel

, but the arrival of

Mauricio Pochettino

changed everything for the former

Schalke 04

and Wolfsburg man.

Draxler's decision comes amid rumors linking him with a move back to Germany to join

Bayern Munich

, while the midfielder has also previously been linked with Premier League sides



Leeds United


Draxler has won Ligue 1 title three times, the Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue three times, and the Trophee des Champions twice, and also helped PSG reach the Champions League final in 2019-20.
