, Barcelona’s president, met last Thursday for lunch and it went well. The only thing that may result in the Blaugrana keeping the Dutchman after a late-season fall where they lost points against Atletico Madrid, Levante and Granada is if the club does not find a suitable successor.
Laporta never believed Koeman to be his man, as the club’s ex-president Josep Maria appointed the 58-year-old in the summer. However, Barca did manage to make strides in a hard campaign, grabbing the Copa del Rey trophy.
