During Inter’s elimination from Coppa Italia semi-final by Juventus, the duo was involved in a heated post-match exchange back in February.
The former Juventus manager and the current Bianconeri chairman will reunion on Saturday as Inter will travel to Juventus for a Serie A clash.
Inter have already been crowned Serie A champions while Juventus need a win to leapfrog Napoli in their race for a top-four finish.
However, it is unlikely that Antonio Conte to be willing to go easy on his former club as the last time two rivals met was in a goalless Copa Italia draw, where at the end of the game, Andrea Agnelli was caught on camera insulting Conte while the Italian coach had raised his middle finger at the Juventus President before the half-time break.
However, a few days later the Inter boss issued an apology. He told a press conference: “I am here to apologize, because I reacted in the wrong way to being insulted. I could’ve reacted differently and that would’ve been more positive.
“I am sorry and I will learn from this for future reference. The insults and provocation should not be an excuse, because I still shouldn’t have responded like that.”
After Conte departed ways with Juventus in 2014, his relationship with his former employer collapsed as he questioned the club’s transfer strategies, saying “You cannot go to eat at a €100 restaurant with just €10 in your pocket, can you?”
