Although Atletico Madrid appear determined to keep Marcos Llorente’s services, Manchester United are eager to sign the former Real Madrid midfielder amid growing speculation over Paul Pogba’s long-term future at Old Trafford.
After joining Atleti from their arch-rivals, Real Madrid, for a €30.00m deal in 2019, the Spanish midfielder went on to establish himself as a top midfielder in European football. The 26-year-old midfielder has registered 12 goals and 11 assists in his 35 La Liga appearances this season.
According toDaily Mirror
, the Rojiblancos demands Llorente’s full €120m release clause to allow him to leave the club, and are willing to keep their prolific midfielder by offering him a contract extension that keeps him put until 2026.
However, although United are unwilling to meet Atletico’s full asking price, they will try to begin negotiations with an initial €80m offer.
