Fri 14 May 2021 | 13:15

Zidane's misfortunes continue and he will probably miss the German star for the crucial next match.

Real Madrid

announced that Toni Kroos should quarantine himself after he had a direct contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19.

The German star did not play in the game against Granada last night. He was on the squad, but Zinedine Zidane refused to take the risk due to a minor injury and preferred to keep him for Sunday night's game against Athletic Bilbao, but few hours ago it was announced that Toni Kroos was in contact with someone who tested positive for coronaviruse and should quarantine himself.

Kroos' Covid-19 test has been negative, but according to the protocols, he should be quarantined for the time being, and thus he may miss the very important game against Bilbao. Zidane's problems are not over at the end of the season, and in addition to the numerous injuries, he now has to deal with the absence of Toni Kroos.

If Real lose a point on Sunday and

Atletico

can beat Osasuna, the La Liga race will be closed and the trophy will go to Diego Simeone's side.
