Holding vows to make their poor season up for their fans

With a goal gifted by Jorginho, Arsenal achieved a precious Premier League win over their local rivals, Chelsea.

Arsenal’s defender, Rob Holding, told his post-match interview: "We owe the fans a lot after this season. We've let them down a few times, so if we can wrap up some points, wrap up some wins and give them something to look forward to going into next season."

After their early goal by Emile Smith Rowe, Arsenal had a solid defensive performance to keep their advantage.

Holding, who was among the Gunners’ stars in their Wednesday London derby, added: "I managed to block everything, head everything that came my way. We just sort of defended first and then anything we could do with the ball, we did.

"It's nice to get a double over Chelsea for the season. We got a good one at home and then it's nice to grind out a result here."

Arsenal are currently 8th in the Premier League table, and they will travel to Crystal Palace for their next Premier League game on Sunday.
