superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed that she is trying to convince her son to return to Sporting CP and continue playing football for his former team.
Sporting won the Portuguese League again after 19 years and qualified for next season's Champions League. Ronaldo started his career at the club and in August 2003, after shining against Manchester United, he attracted the attention of Sir Alex Ferguson and headed to Old Trafford.
He became one of the best players in the world at Manchester United and won the Ballon d'Or before moving toReal Madrid
in 2009. He spent an exceptional 9 years in Madrid and finally moved to Juventus. He also won two Serie A titles at Juventus, but this season they risk losing their Champions League qualification. Now Ronaldo's mother has expressed hope that she can bring her son back to the club where he started playing football.
“I will talk to him and try to convince him to return next year,”
she told TVI 24.
“To the Alvalade Stadium and to wear the colours of Sporting.”
Ronaldo, who recently scored his 100th goal for Juventus, has scored a total of 776 goals and has won five Ballon d'Ors so far.
