Wed 12 May 2021 | 17:41

Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has urged Leeds hierarchy to keep hold of their star Patrick Bamford amid interest from Liverpool.

The 27-year-old has been brilliant this season and is the most important piece in

Marcelo Bielsa

’s attacking line. He not only spearheads the attack but links up with the midfielders well, and tracks back more often to support the rest of the team while defending.

The report claims that

Bamford

has emerged as a target for

Liverpool

, who are looking to add more firepower to their ranks in the upcoming transfer window after a disappointing season in front of goal.

However,

Marcelo Bielsa

is determined to keep the 27-year-old striker at Elland Road - so much so, that he has made it clear how important the forward is to the ongoing progress of his side.

Bamford’s work rate has been exceptional so far this season, he has netted 15 goals and provided eight assists in his 35 appearances in the Premier League.
