Ibrahimovic has previously managed to recover from a rupture of the cruciate ligaments in his right knee in 2017. It is therefore his other knee that is affected this time.
The extent of the injury has not been assessed yet, but there are doubts about his ability to feature for Swede national team in the upcoming European Championship.
