Saturday’s La Liga clash between Atletico and Barcelona, which was pivotal to the La Liga title race, ended as a goalless draw as it opened up the opportunity for Real Madrid and Sevilla when they lock horns on Sunday in Madrid.
Despite missing the chance to impact the title race with a win in Catalonia, Pique believes that their title chances aren’t over yet.
The Spaniard toldMovistar+:
“We expected to win, but we are still alive. We had more chances and we competed well.
“We are alive, and based on how La Liga is playing out and I think we still have options.
“Anything can happen, because that is what happens in La Liga.
Discussing the title race contenders, the Catalan continued: “It is true that Real Madrid, if they win all four games, will be champions, but it will be difficult.
“I think by winning our three remaining games we have options. Our idea is to win every game and compete until the end.”
Barcelona puts their hopes on Sevilla in their upcoming clash with Real Madrid to complicate the La Liga title race even further.
