ensured Inter wrapped up the title with four games still to go until the end of the season. This is Inter’s 19th Serie A title.
“I’m thrilled. It’s a great emotion. I’ve lived this season with more freedom as I am not the President anymore. I am superstitious, so I hadn’t replied to you journalists over the last few days,” Moratti told La Repubblica.
“Conte has done an exceptional job and the board has supported him. If I have to choose the most essential players, I would say Lukaku, Barella and Hakimi.
“Eriksen was a nice surprise in the second part of the season and Handanovic was really good. He did some mistakes, but the fans should forgive him because he also put down some incredible performances.”
How will Moratti celebrate Inter’s Scudetto?
“I’ll wear an Inter shirt, I have so many, I only need to choose which one. My former players gifted me so many when they retired, I just won’t say which one I pick because I don’t want to disappoint anyone.
“I’ll open a bottle of champagne and I will call all the Interisti that called me these days and to whom I haven’t replied.”
