The owner of Leeds Club has expressed hope that he can reach an agreement with Bielsa to extend his contract.
boss Marcelo Bielsa has thanked club president Andrea Radrizzani for his talk of extending his contract.
Bielsa does not intend to negotiate with the club to extend his contract until the end of the season and prefers to activate the one-year extension clause. In an interview with the French newspaper L'Equipe last week, Radrizzani expressed hope that the two sides would reach an agreement to extend the contract. Now Bielsa thanked the owner of the club for his words.
He told reporter:
"Any reference to this subject, I prefer to make after the competition has finished," said Bielsa, whose side bid to extend their six-game unbeaten Premier League run at Brighton on Saturday.
"I appreciate the words of the owner with regards to my continuity, but I agree with what he said about Leeds being prestigious above any others.
"Due to the solidness of this organisation, they have the facility to make correct decisions."
