Miranda addresses his future at Barcelona
The Real Betis left-back has been attracting the attention of many clubs this season and is keen on getting regular minutes in the future.
Juan Miranda
is reaching the end of his contract at
Barcelona, but he has mooted a two-year extension at Camp Nou and discussions will be held in the summer transfer window.
When pressed about his future plans with Barca, he told
El Desmarque:<em>
"It's not the moment to think about that.
"Barca and Betis will talk when the moment is right, probably at the end of the season. Right now, I am only interested in helping Betis qualify for Europe.
"When the league finishes, we can talk."
Speculations suggest that Barca are considering extending Miranda’s contract before letting him spend another season on loan at Los Verdiblancos. The Spain U21 international may be pleased by the option as he is looking for more game time.
He added:
"I am young and I need to play minutes.
"We want to get into Europe in these final games, which is good for me and the club, and the three parties will make a decision after the season."
Miranda, who has been targeted by Juventus before, has featured in 21 games for Betis this season. He has contributed to their place on the La Liga table, with five games left to try and get Europa League qualification.
