Morata undecided about his future at Juventus

Sun 25 April 2021 | 17:37

Juve striker is still uncertain about his future at the club but says he ‘would gladly stay here for life’.

Juventus

faced

Fiorentina

today in a Serie A clash and came out of the pitch with a 1-1 draw.

Juve are currently third in the league table and battling for the Champions League qualification, however, having played one more game than both

Atalanta

and

Napoli

, respectively fourth and fifth in the table, and with only 5 games left of this season, the Bianconeri’s position in the table and their chances to qualify for the European competition are in jeopardy.

Alvaro Morata

, who scored the equalizer for Pirlo’s side, says it doesn’t matter who scores the goal as long as you don’t get the win.

“Nobody remembers great goals if they don’t lead to victories,”

the Spaniard told Sky Sport Italia.

“We could have scored more, but we didn’t manage, we had a better attitude in the second half, which will make us win the next games.

“I look serious because I don’t like not winning. We are having a difficult season, this year has been so difficult. It doesn’t matter who scores. It counts to win games. Today we proved we could win it.”

Morata, who joined Juventus on a loan from

Atletico Madrid

, is still not certain about his future at the club.

“Everyone knows I would gladly stay here for life if I had the chance, but this is a profession, football is a business and a lot of the time we players don’t have much choice.”
