Zidane finds UEFA's possible sanctions stupid

As the prominent leaders of the rebellious ‘Super League’ plan, Real Madrid is threatened by UEFA and other governing bodies for disrupting the establishment.

As an alternative to UEFA Champions League, 12 European elite clubs agreed on a new continental format named ‘Super League’. with financial needs to be funded by JP Morgan bank.

However, the football world forced the Super League founding members to abandon their plans. From those 12 founding members of ‘Super League’, as a matter of fact, from the founding body of European Super League, only Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Juventus haven’t resigned yet.

Ahead of their upcoming Champions League clash with Chelsea, concerning the possibility that the Los Blancos could be removed from European competition this season, Zidane said: “We have the right to play in the Champions League.

"It’s illogical and absurd [that we might be disqualified]. No, I don’t have any worries [about the refereeing]. We’ll play our semi-final, as is our right.”

Real will face Real Betis on Saturday as Zidane has ruled Toni Kroos, Sergio Ramos, and Ferland Mendy out of his plans while Luka Modric and Eden Hazard set to make their injury return.

Currently second in the La Liga table three points behind Atletico, the French coach is aware that Real face a tough task through their remaining six fixtures.

"That has always been difficult," he added. "I’ve said many times that the Spanish league is very competitive. For me, it’s one of the very best leagues. But, we’ll try."
