Tuchel keeps Abraham away from his lineup

Tammy Abraham will not play against Manchester City after recovery from injury.

Tammy Abraham

, who has been struggling for playing time since

Tuchel’s

arrival, will sit out

the Blues’

clash against Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final despite recovery from an ankle injury and sitting on the bench in their last Premier League clash.

Abraham’s struggles for playing time have made many top clubs consider a move on the player as the Blues boss insists that he won’t use the 23-year-old England international only to guarantee his spot in the national team.

"I cannot make a decision on the personal goals of players,"

Tuchel said.

"Tammy has had a rough time.

"He's not had the impact we demand from him. He then got injured and lost the possibility to play for his place. We're in the decisive part of the season, where it's not so easy to bring injured players into shape.

"It's up to Tammy to do everything possible. We demand a lot of him, he demands a lot of himself."

Tammy Abraham was the club’s best scorer last season with 18 goals, and he has scored more goals than any other player in Chelsea this season in all competitions. He has scored 12 goals in all competitions; four of them were in three FA Cup games.
