West Ham defender Coufar has praised Lingard’s performance.

West Ham

has been in good form recently, and

Manchester United’s

former player

Jesse Lingard

has been showing high-quality performances since his arrival, making his teammate Coufal wonder why Manchester United has let him leave.

Lingard has scored eight goals for the Hammers since his arrival in the winter with a loan deal, proving himself as an important part of

David Moyes’

plans.

Here is what Coufal has told

Sky Sports

about Lingard’s performance:

“Jesse Lingard came from the biggest team in England and he brings something different.

“His quality is unbelievable, and I can’t understand why he didn’t play for Manchester United or get a chance. He’s an unbelievable player and I’m really happy to be able to play with him.”

He has hailed Declan Rice too, who has been an important player for the Hammers alongside Lingard. Coufal thinks that their captain is the best number six in the world, and he can even be better.

“It’s the same with Declan Rice. Declan is maybe the best number six in the world, but he can still improve, and he knows it.

“I am just glad I can play with them, with Thomas Soucek, with Mark Noble and some very experienced players.

“It’s been a beautiful season so far and everyone is hoping it will continue like this. Our goal is to qualify for Europe for next season and we are hoping we can finish the job.”

Hammers sit fourth in the Premier League table, and they have seven games ahead of them to secure their spot in the continental competitions, and their next clash is against Newcastle on Saturday.
