Keane not impressed with Lingard’s goal celebration

Sun 11 April 2021 | 17:09

The West Ham midfielder was pleased with netting against Leicester but the former Manchester United player mocked him.

Former midfielder

Roy Keane

was not impressed with how

Jesse Lingard

celebrated his goal netted against

Leicester

on Sunday.

The 28-year-old scored a brace for

West Ham

as they vanquished the Foxes 3-2. The England international celebrated by dancing for his teammates and Keane joked it reminded him of what he used to do when he was drunk.

Keane told

Sky Sports

:<em>

"One. I used to do this dance before, usually after a load of Bacardi and Coke.

"When he scores goals like that, I suppose I have to give him a little bit of credit."

Lingard has been running on a rich vein of form since moving to West Ham in January on a loan spell from United. He has met the back of the net eight times and contributed three assists in nine

Premier League

matches this season.

The Hammers are sitting fourth on the table, courtesy of Sunday’s victory, being a point adrift of

Chelsea

. They are set to face

Newcastle

on Saturday before locking horns with Chelsea on April 24.
