Mon 05 April 2021 | 19:34

The Spain international is out of action for the remainder of the season after injuring his ACL again.

Jonny Otto

sustained the injury in training on Sunday as

Wolves

were preparing for their

Premier League

battle against

West Ham

on Monday.

The 27-year-old damaged the same knee he injured last August during the Europa League clash against Olympiakos. He returned in February and featured in seven league matches this season and made three international appearances for Spain. However, he will be out for the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship in the summer.

The Wolves' website said:

"Jonny has suffered a reinjury to his right knee in training on Sunday. He will need surgery to the MCL and again to the ACL.

"He will see a specialist in London this week."
