Thiago Alcantara talks about his frustration with his side’s recent form.
Premier League’s reigning champions have been struggling in the recent weeks with the continuation of the injury storm that they were facing, andThiago Alcantara
has talked about his feelings in the current situation, saying that there have been games that they didn’t deserve to lose.
Spanish midfielder told TV2:
"There are many games we have not deserved to lose, so it has been frustrating not to get the three points even though we have been better than the opponent.
"But that's how football is and we look towards the next match, where we will try to perform as well as possible."
Thiago has been struggling like the Reds with 20 appearances across all the competitions since he arrived from Bayer Munich. The 29-year-old faced a knee injury that kept him away from the action for two months, but he still feels good about being Jurgen Klopp’s player.
"It's fantastic to play under him. You learn a lot and you have to get used to a different way of playing, something I like very much,"
"This means that you have to adapt and develop. The quality of the teammates makes it even easier to play good football."
The Reds will play against Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday four days before hosting Aston Villa, another important clash for them to reach the Blues, who sit fourth in the Premier League.
