Before Sassuolo’s Serie A battle against Inter on Wednesday, the Italy under-21 international admitted that he was an Inter fan when he was a child.

Inter

will host

Sassuolo

after their match was rescheduled due to a coronavirus outbreak and Giacomo Raspadori is going to face the Nerazzurri having scored a late equalizer in a 2-2 draw with

Roma

on Saturday.

During an interview with

tuttosport

, Raspadori admitted that he was an Inter supporter as a child and former striker Samuel Eto’o was his hero.

“Sometimes I feel like I am living inside the PlayStation. I’ve already faced all the champions I used to play as on the video games, like [Romelu] Lukaku, Cristiano Ronaldo and I swapped shirts with [Paulo] Dybala. But the ones who struck me the most live are Lautaro Martinez and Papu Gomez,”

Raspadori declared.

“In my room I had an Eto’o poster. I was a supporter of Inter and I was crazy about the Cameroonian who was the protagonist of the treble.”

The 21-year-old has been running on a rich vein of form this season for his side, featuring in 19 games. During the interview, he has thanked his team-mates for the support they have shown him.

“I am lucky because here in Sassuolo I am surrounded by fantastic teammates, they take care of me and everyone offers advice, starting with De Zerbi. I try to learn from watching. [Domenico] Berardi leaves you speechless, he has crazy skills on the ball. It’s almost impossible to steal possession from [Manuel] Locatelli,”

Raspadori added.
