Egypt U23s head coach
has already named Salah in Egypt’s preliminary U23s squad for the summer games as all countries have been permitted to include three overaged players.

“I can say that Salah wants to play at the Olympic Games, he wants to help Egypt, and I hope Liverpool will say yes."
The Olympics were supposed to take place in 2020 but because of the coronavirus pandemic, they had to be pushed back a year.
The rescheduled games are going to commence officially in Tokyo on July 23, but the men’s football tournament will kick off a day earlier and will run until August 7 which is one day before the conclusion of the entire games.
The Reds’ first game in the Premier League will take place on August 14 and if Liverpool let him take part in the Olympics he could miss the majority of the club’s pre-season schedule.
