Chelsea’s chances increase as Aguero decides to stay in England.

Following

Aguero’s

confirmation on his departure from

Manchester City

, different clubs have shown interest in signing the Argentinian striker.

Daily Mail

reports that Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in signing Manchester City’s all-time leading scorer, but he has decided to stay in England after leaving the Citizens.

Sergio Aguero has talked about his decision earlier this week, confirming that he will be leaving Etihad at the end of the season when his deal with the club comes to an end.

He has scored 257 goals in 384 games for the club in the ten years he played for the Citizens.

Chelsea

has been interested in Aguero for a long time; they even joined the race to sign him when he decided to leave Atletico Madrid back in 2011; they also didn’t seem to have a chance this time against Barcelona, but Aguero’s interest in staying in the Premier League has made them the most probable option for the player.

Man City’s gratitude for Aguero’s hard work at the club will be shown by building a statue of him at the Etihad Stadium. Aguero’s most remarkable moment at the club may be the late goal that he scored in the last game of his first season at the club against QPR that pushed them to PL title that was only the beginning to the both parts’ long journey.
