Former Juventus midfielder urged the Bianconeri to keep confidence in Andrea Pirlo and revealed the players he believes the club must sell.
Claudio Marchisio toldLa Gazzetta dello Sport
: “I think the Scudetto is gone with the defeat against Benevento, and even with a win, it would have been difficult.
“Inter have self-confidence. They don’t concede goals even when they suffer. Juventus dominate some games and suffer in others. There is no balance.
“There was no alchemy between the coach, new some new players and the old guard. Everyone apart from Chiesa and McKennie have had highs and lows.
“At the end of the season, they must talk to each other. Whoever is not willing to fight and win must go.”
Asked whether Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala are among deadwood, he answered: “It’s up to the club. Dybala’s value can’t be questioned, he’s a pure talent, but he can stay only if he has something to offer.
“I hope Ronaldo stays if he has the right behaviour and the usual desire to win. The same goes for any other player. It’s not easy to find new energies after so many years.”
On what policy should the club hold toward their current manager, the 35-year-old continued: “Juventus’ drop has begun in Max Allegri’s last season. They won the title but risked being eliminated in the round of 16.
“It’s fair to continue with Pirlo, but the season will be a failure if Juventus don’t finish in the top four.”
