Bayern will not renew Douglas Costa's contract

Bayern Munich have no plans to extend Douglas Costa on loan.

The Brazilian star joined

Bayern Munich

on loan from Juventus but was unable to attract the attention of Hansi Flick to continue his presence in the team. Now Bayern's decision not to extend

Douglas Costa

's contract means that Juventus must look for a new club for their 30-year-old midfielder.

Costa's injury in mid-February has left the attacking midfielder on the bench in recent weeks, but he has not previously played for Hansi Flick. He joined Bayern Munich from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2015 and spent two years with the club before moving to Juventus on loan. He also performed well in Turin and his contract was permanently extended, but after a while, he lost his place in the Juventus squad.

He returned to Bayern Munich on loan but played only 11 games in the Bundesliga and his time at the team is over. Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane are Flick's first-choice picks and he has no place in his squad.
