France midfielder acknowledges that they didn’t have the best start in the World Cup qualifiers, but believes they can turn things around in coming matches.

France

faced

Ukraine

in a World Cup qualifiers clash where

Didier Deschamps

’s men were held to a 1-1 draw.

France midfielder

Adrien Rabiot

claims they knew from the beginning that it wasn’t going to be an easy match.

“We expected this type of game from Ukraine,”

Rabiot said.

“It’s never easy to face a five-man defense, but we must know how to adapt to our opponents.

“If we didn’t win, it’s because we didn’t give everything. More pace would have been needed yesterday, but there’s nothing to be angry or scared about.

“We would have liked to have started the qualifiers for the World Cup better, but we will be able to redeem ourselves in a few days against Kazakhstan.”

Rabiot is also pleased to play alongside

Chelsea

talented midfielder,

N’Golo Kante

.

“He works a lot and never stops. It’s easy to be next to him on the pitch,”

Rabiot added.

“Personally, I feel good in the middle.

“I know I can also move to the left, but it depends on our opponents and the type of game.”

The 25-year-old also comments on his approach at

Juventus

, where things are more ‘complicated’.

“It’s going quite well here, while at Juve everything is more complicated from a collective point of view.

“I always try to give my best and play a lot, but it’s difficult to always get good results when you play every three days.

“However, the coach sees that I try to do my best every time, he likes it.”
