The 18-year-old won his first cap for Spain last year when he played against Germany on 3 September and three days later he was able to score in the game against Ukraine and set a new record as he became the national side’s youngest ever goalscorer at the age of 17 years and 311 days.
In November, he suffered a knee injury and because of that he was ruled out of the club and the country and he is now hopeful of recovering in time to be able to feature in the competition.
“I hope I can be there but first I have to recover from the injury. I do not know what will happen but being in the Euros is the dream that every player has,” he told reporters according toCadena Cope
