Germany director denies any negotiations with Hansi Flick.

Joachim Low

recently announced that Euro 2020 will be his last run with Germany national team and he will step down of his role after the competition. Since then, there have been many rumors and speculations regarding Low’s possible successor, and one of the most important candidates is current

Bayern Munich

boss,

Hansi Flick

.

However, Flick emphasized in several interviews that his focus is only on this team and the matches ahead. Bayern Munich CEO

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge

also commented on the subject a few days ago. He said:

"We are well advised to finish what we have agreed in the contract."

These rumors, as well as the recent comments from Rummenigge, were met with a reaction from the director of Germany,

Oliver Bierhoff

.

"Nothing has changed for us,"

Bierhoff said.

"We always said we won't approach a coach who is currently under contract.

"I interpreted it in the way that Rummenigge wanted to back Hansi Flick and he did. That is the right thing to do as CEO of a club."

Bierhoff was quizzed about the recruitment process in an interview, to which he replied:

"We don't have limitless time, but we are not under pressure either.

"We have to appoint a new coach for the time after the Euros. We are going to take our time.

The DFB delegation will be in the team hotel in the coming days. President Fritz Keller, Peter Peters, Rainer Koch and Friedrich Curtius will be there and we will discuss the situation.

"Obviously we will analyse, discuss and have long talks, and then we'll see."
