Lucas Vazquez’s departure from Real appears to be imminent.

Lucas Vazquez

had been widely criticized for his performances at

Real Madrid

in recent seasons, however, with

Alvaro Odriozola

and

Dani Carvajal

out of action due to some injuries, Vazquez found the chance to play in the right-back position in recent months and has proven himself as a key player in

Zinedine Zidane

’s squad.

The Spanish winger’s contract with Real will expire in a few months and he can leave the club as a free agent in the coming summer.

The Spanish media have claimed that Zidane wants to keep Vazquez in his squad but the negotiations between the player and the club for a contract extension have reached a deadlock.

According to

Marca

, the 29-year-old recently turned down the clubs offer for a 3-year contract extension with a 10% salary reduction.

El Bernabeu

has now claimed that the Spaniard is looking forward to continuing his career in the English Premier League.
