Dortmund Norwegian star says he is focused on what he is doing at the time and claims Messi and Ronaldo are ‘far away’.

Since

Erling Haaland

was transferred to

Dortmund

, the Norwegian star has proven himself as one of the most prolific stars in the world football.

He has also performed impressively for the BVB this season, scoring 21 goals in 21 Bundesliga outings. The 20-year-old prodigy has also helped Dortmund to reach the quarter-final of the Champions League.

Haaland’s outstanding performances have led many to believe that he will follow in the footsteps of superstars such as

Cristiano Ronaldo

and

Lionel Messi

in the future. However, the Norway international claims he is focused on his own work and that Messi and Ronaldo are ‘far away’.

"The media are the ones who write about it, I don't focus on those things,”

Haaland said.

“I want to improve every day. Ronaldo and Messi ... I don't need to talk about them, they are the best of all time. They are still very far away.”

There are many rumors and speculations regarding the player’s future at the club, since European giants like

Barcelona

and

Manchester United

are trying to recruit the talented forward. However, Haaland insists he is committed to BVB until the end of his contract.

He added:

“I still have three years of contract at Dortmund. I am not worried about that.”
