The Dutch star has been Lyon's best player this season and his team is heavily dependent on him.

Lyon

president Jean-Michel Aulas believes that if they can win the Ligue 1 title, Memphis Depay may be convinced to stay.

Depay has performed very well since moving to Lyon from Manchester United in 2017 and this season has been his best. The Dutch star was close to a move to

Barcelona

last summer and it is said that the Catalans are planning to try again to sign him. However, Aulas believes that Lyon can keep Depay in the team by winning the Ligue 1 title.

Aulas confirmed they offered a contract to Depay and told

AFP

"For Memphis, I dream that he accepts our proposal, which is still relevant.

"He brings so much, he has been directly involved in 23 league goals this season. The offer will stay there and, if we are champions, why not?"
